We seek an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineering Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will build and maintain the infrastructure and processes that empower our engineering team to deliver high-quality software quickly and reliably. You will play a critical role in optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring system scalability and reliability, and implementing robust security measures. Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure fast, reliable, and automated deployments across multiple environments.
- Optimize System Scalability and Reliability: Automate scaling processes, manage load balancing, and monitor system health to handle growing traffic and ensure high availability.
- Platform Management: Manage and optimize our Kubernetes (K8S) infrastructure, ensuring efficient resource utilization and application performance.
- Cost Optimization: Track, audit, and optimize cloud resource usage across AWS, GCP, and Azure to reduce operational costs.
- Centralize Observability: Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and tracing systems to improve incident detection, response, and overall system visibility.
- Enhance Security and Compliance: Manage access controls, conduct vulnerability scans, and ensure compliance with industry standards like SOC2 and GDPR.
- MLops / Data Pipelines Infrastructure: Assist our ML engineers in building and maintaining infrastructure to support machine learning operations and data pipelines.
- On-Prem and Marketplace Deployments: Manage and support deployments to on-premises environments and cloud marketplaces.
- Automation Infrastructure: Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Pulumi and Helm Charts to automate the provisioning and management of our cloud resources.
- Ensure System Resilience: Design, implement, and maintain highly resilient systems in the cloud to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Define and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure rapid recovery in the event of system failures or outages.
Qualifications
- Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with AWS (primary), including services like EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, etc.
- CI/CD Mastery: Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Kubernetes Proficiency: Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, deployment strategies, and management tools.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Pulumi for managing infrastructure and Helm Charts for deploying applications on Kubernetes.
- Monitoring and Observability: Familiarity with observability best practices.
- Security Best Practices: Strong understanding of security principles and experience implementing security measures in cloud environments.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Resilient Systems Design: Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient systems in cloud environments.
- Disaster Recovery Expertise: Proven ability to define and implement disaster recovery procedures and strategies.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clearly communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Organized and Self-Driven: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time efficiently.
- Dynamic Environment Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment and can adapt to changing priorities.

- Experience with GCP and Azure.
- Experience with MLops and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with security compliance standards like SOC2 and GDPR.
- FinOps Experience: Understanding of FinOps principles and experience in optimizing cloud costs.
- Experience with on-premise deployments and cloud marketplaces.
- Background in managing large-scale distributed systems.
- Participated in the Hackeriot mentorship program. (as a mentor or mentee)
- Former management experience - ability to lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers.
